The Public Quarter includes most of the major temples and public buildings of Pavis, including the Pavis Temple itself.

Public Quarter Gazetteer

Argan Argar Temple

P-16

The Big Rubble holds a large population of trolls and although the relationship between the trolls and humans of the Rubble has normally been pretty troubled, they have also learned to rub along some of the time as well.  Argan Argar is the trollish trade god, and there are many luxuries that trolls want, either from human lands or from troll lands in Dagori Inkarth.  There is therefore a reasonable amount of trade between Trolltown and New Pavis.  Some of this takes place at The Gap, but that has a reputation of being dangerous - some trolls are always looking to start a fight, so the cannier trollish merchants will travel around the walls and come to Pavis to trade.  It is fair to say that they are treated with a fair amount of suspicion and prejudice in Pavis - most people who see a troll in the street will assume immediately that they are a Zorak Zoran beserker.  Certainly trying to get a drink in a tavern is hard work unless they are a well known and regular visitor to Pavis, and there is no where in Pavis that has accommodation trolls feel happy in.  Argan Argar is one of Ernalda's husband-protectors though, so the cult of Ernalda sponsored the building of an Argan Argar temple in Pavis that can house visiting troll merchants, and serve as a base for the few trolls that permanently reside in Pavis.
